Some Dark Elves are utterly dedicated to Khaine, the Elven god of murder. They are merciless killers who have no qualms about shedding Dark Elf blood as much as any other kind. Consequently, they are the least-trusted warriors in all of Dark Elf society.

Only Khainite characters may join a Khainite unit. In addition, certain special rules and magic items affect Khainite units differently - the Cauldron of Blood, for example. Note that Khainite characters may still join non-Khainite units. This means that you could use a Death Hag as a leader for a unit of Dark Elf Warriors, for example.
